Archie joined Sightline Partners in April 2005. Prior to joining SightLine, he spent 19 years at Piper Jaffray, a Minneapolis-based investment bank with one of Wall Street's leading healthcare franchises. For his last 10 years at Piper Jaffray, Archie was a Senior Healthcare Analyst and Managing Director in equity research, specializing in medical device stocks. After a brief stint covering large capitalization stocks in the cardiovascular device arena, Archie shifted the focus of his practice to small capitalization medical device companies where he and his team identified and covered many of the new and emerging technologies that have changed the way healthcare is delivered today. Archie was recognized for excellence in research on three occasions by Institutional Investor magazine (1995, ’96, and ’98) in its annual All-America Research Team polling. In addition, Archie was recognized as the best analyst on Wall Street in the Medical Products category by the Wall Street Journal in its 2001 Analyst Survey. Archie was a primary research voice on the Street for companies such as Advanced Neuromodulation Systems, Aksys, Angiotech, Arterial Vascular Engineering, ATS Medical, Avecor, Cardiogenesis, CardioThoracic Systems, Computer Motion, Cordis, Cryolife, Cyberonics, Endocardial Solutions, Endosonics, Heartport, Heart Technologies, Innerdyne, Integ, Medisense, Medsource, MicroTherapeutics, Minimed, Minntech, Novoste, Perclose, Scimed Life Systems, Spectranetics, Summit Technology, Synovis, Target Therapeutics, Therasense, Ventritex, Wilson Greatbatch, and Zoll Medical. Archie is a graduate of Bowdoin College and The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
